how to use FRP duct rodder
Summary:
Attentions when use the FRP duct rodder:
1. Protect the drawing head①(one end of the duct rodder, copper plated. There is screw thread in it and can be loosened or tightened)
of the duct rodder from being broken. Before put the duct rodder into using, please make sure that the drawing
head should be pulled through from the flexible roller② in the frame first.And when it happens to pull out all the duct
rodder from the trolley, please pay attention that the another end drawing head of rodder is being fixed on the round ring in the frame.
So when pulling out all the rodder, please also protect it from being broken. And when pull back the rodder, also make sure that this
end drawing head should be fixed in the ring first.
2. The FRP duct rodder has the feature of brittle. So when you put it into construction, please make sure that
minimum bend diameter should not be less than 60CM. In the conduit or other construction environment, in case
of conduit angle is a right angle or less than 90 degrees case,we should pay special attention to protecting
drawing head of rodder from being broken.And when pull out of the hoistway,
we should take measures to prevent damage .
(For example,we can put a cable guide roller or corner roller in the corner)
3 FRP duct rodder can withstand a temperature range of -40- + 80 degrees, in the construction we should avoid any
improper conduct, such as exposure to cold or hot object or environment,the product after use should be placed in
a cool place and keep it avoid long time exposure to sunlight orrain shower.
4.The max. Pulling force of duct rodder is about 2.5 tons.
So we should avoid using high-power mechanical traction in a 90 degrees angle, or it will lead to duct rodder broken.
5.When using the duct rodder in the large cable construction, Please do not pull cable or wire directly with duct rodder.
We should pull the rope with drawing head of duct rodder in the conduit and then pull cable with the rope.
We suggest to use suitable cable guide roller to protect duct rodder and keep high work efficiency.
